Great tour and wonderful guide!
This tour covered exactly what I wanted to see, and it went at a good pace, definitely not rushed. My guide Lara was excellent and very knowledgeable, and she answered my many questions. She kept asking about how I felt, since it was very hot. I highly recommend this tour and Lara..

A full day in Bangkok
We had an amazing full day tour of Bangkok with Mr. Wat. He picked us up at our hotel arriving early and immediately presented us with fruit and traditional Thai sweets. Our tour included the Golden Buddha, the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace, Temple of Dawn, and the Reclining Buddha, everything that we wanted to see. Mr. Wat provided information on the sites themselves as well as commentary on everyday life in Thailand. It was a day well spent!.

Fabulous tour of temples and palace. Don’t miss this one!
Fantastic tour of Bangkok. We had the most wonderful guide Chanin. He was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and patient. He allowed us to take our time at sites so we could take a lot of photos. We saw all the major temples and walked the palace grounds. Ate at a fantastic little restaurant and even walked through the flower market. Absolutely loved our day..

We had a fabulous day touring the Grand Palace and temples. They are amazing! We had a fantastic guide Chanin and driver Daeng. The day included a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. We even stopped at the flower market and walked around enjoying the sights. I would highly recommend this tour. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Chanin as your guide.

Great tour for a one day overview of Bangkok
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and shared so much of Thailand's rich history throughout the day. We visited several temples, which were incredible, especially the reclining Buddha. We also had lunch at a local restaurant and visited the flower market, which was fun. We even took a short ferry ride across the river to get to one temple. Be prepared to walk a lot (over 10K steps) and wear appropriate temple dress-I was fine in long pants, polo shirt and flip-flops. My wife wore a sleeveless dress and used a shawl to cover her shoulders, which had been fine at other temples in Phuket and Chang Mai, but at the Grand Palace this was not deemed acceptable, so she had a buy a shirt (100 baht from a local vendor). Our guide gave us water at the start of the tour, but be prepared to buy more along the way as the humidity is brutal! We were so glad to have this expert guidance, as navigating these busy and crowded tourist sites on our own would have been next to impossible. If you only have one day (like we did) I would highly recommend doing this full day tour..

The tour was amazing. Miss Yuwanee was so knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind. I was so impressed with the places we went to and all the information that was given as well. I loved walking through the flower market and even folding the petals of a lotus flower. The driver was superb and I was so grateful to be in such good, safe hands. Fun way to discover Bangkok
What a riot we had with Jazz our tour guide. Jazz is a foodie. He totally loves Thai food and was full of enthusiam throughout our tour. Time just flew by as we were having so much fun. He took us to a 5 very different food experiences and challenged our tastebuds with yummy and very different foods. There is no way were would have found these food gems among the vastness of food venues. The highlight for us was the hotpot meal where we got to cook our own food right at our table. Fun! The TukTuk drivers were really good as we were whizzed through the main and back streets seeing the sites, lights and sounds of Bangkok. Bring your appetite !!! Jazz makes sure you are totally stuffed by the time you leave. Jazz was super organized, got us through all the venues and we never felt rushed at all. Kudos to him and his TukTuk team. We had a blast and we highly recommend you either start or finish your visit to Bangkok

Incompleta

A 9-5 tour with hotel pickup in a private car by our tour guide an her driver. Very professional and well mannered. Lots of temples and locations to visit. The driver would take us to each location, drop us off at the door, and later pick us up. The tour guide was with us the whole taking pictures of us, giving us details of each location, and guiding us without hesitation. We were taken to Thiptara for lunch, provided with water, and all entry fees to temples and the private boat ride were included..

Amazing Tour of Bangkok
If you want to see some amazing temples in any easy way this is the way to do it. Our tour guide Pornchai Poonged was awesome. He gave us all the history and answered any questions we had while letting us explore. Getting from one stop to another was either an easy ride from a private driver or a few minute walk. We go to see so much of the city and learn so much during the tour. We only had one day in Bangkok and I was so glad we did this tour. It made visiting historical sights easy and relaxing..

The way to see Bangkok!
We had an amazing experience with our guide who took care of us from 9am until 5pm and every step of the way. Not only did we learn so much about the history of Thailand and Bangkok, she showed us the beauty of the temples and the history behind them. We also enjoyed learning so much about the monarchy and how it is such an important aspect of Thai culture. The boat ride on the river was perfect and the restaurant for lunch was delicious. 5 star experience all around

First Tour in Bangkok
This was mine and my boyfriend’s first time in Bangkok. I’m glad that we chose this tour company, our guide Gimao was very friendly, outgoing ,knowledgeable and down to earth. She made the tour enjoyable and gave us a lot of information about the different temples and murals that we were introduced to. She was also a great photographer for us. Our driver Mr. Thu was nice and got us to each destinations quickly and smoothly. We were taken to a buffet lunch on a boat and the food was really good. Our favorite were the coconut pancakes. Overall, I would recommend anyone visiting for the first time to book this tour as it will be a great way to see key sites and get a taste of what else you’d like to explore in Bangkok..

Bangkok in a day
We were looking for a a way to see the major temples and sites in Bangkok but only had a few days in town, so we booked the Private tour. Gimao and our driver “Billy” picked us up at the Shangri-La hotel. We had confirmed with the tour company by email the day before and they were very quick to get back to us. Our guide and driver took us through China town to the Golden Buddha and then for a walk through.

A grand visit of Bangkok city
It is a compact, well designed tour. It covers 3 mesmerizing temples of Bangkok city and a visit to multiple complexes of grand "Grand Palace" which also includes Emerald Buddha Temple inside the palace. A boat ride in the canals to experience the floating market and livelihood of local people is an additional feature of the tour.We are lucky to have a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, Ms. Rose. She shared information with great detail. The lunch is a part of the package and we had an opportunity to explore the great cuisines of Thai delicacy. It started from our hotel and ended at the same place as it was a Private Tour. We enjoyed every bit of it and learnt so many new aspects of Thailand. A must for every tourist!

A day in Bangkok with Gimao
Gimao greeted me at my hotel with her bubbly personality and our driver and I knew right away that the day was going to be enjoyable. We set off on the grand tour talking and getting to know each other, her English is excellent! She is a bright girl with much knowledge and a quirky sense of humour to portray Bangkok and it’s history in a remarkable fashion. She is well knowledged in the history of Bangkok, all the temples and the royal palace and had no issues answering any questions I had or going into detail to ensure I fully grasped the history and relevance of each stop on the tour. She went above and beyond to make sure I got the most out of my 8HR tour..including paying the long tail boat captain a little extra to ensure that I saw a few Komodo dragons throughout the canals..she saw how excited I was to see Komodo dragons for the first time and made it happen..thanks again Gimao!! At each stop she brought me to the best spots for pictures and gladly took some of the best pictures of my trip of me for me..she’s quite the photographer!! All praise to Gimao and our driver for making the most out of my 8HR private tour..I was able to take in most of the key temples and stops to really get a feel for the culture in Bangkok and what it stands for to be a Thai person. Beautiful people with rich history and a lot to be proud of with all the hard work that goes into these temples and monuments. 10/10 would recommend Gimao and this private tour for anyone who is looking to take in as much of Bangkok and it’s history as you can in a day..

We visited many highlights of Bangkok from the Golden, Emerald and Reclining Buddha temples, Chinatown and flower/vegetable markets, longboat ride down a residential canal to the Grand Palace. We went at our own pace and never waited long for the car/boat to take us to the next attraction! Lunch was a buffet aboard a docked boat with many Thai food options. Miss Supatsara Wonghong was one of the best guides we have ever had. By the end of this day, she felt like part of the family. Comprehensive Private Tour of Bangkok
Because of my mother's physical limitations, I booked a private tour of Bangkok. Siri, our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide and the driver picked us from our hotel accommodations - the Legacy Suites in downtown Bangkok at 0800. We were driven in a spacious comfortable air conditioned mini-SUV. Our first stop was the Temple of the Golden Buddha, which boasts the heaviest golden Buddha in the world weighing at 5.5 tons. Our pictures glistened from the gold. Siri, then walked us through the fragrant Bangkok flower market - Pak Klong Talat. It was an outdoor market ordained whith vibrant colors of various flowers, orchids and floral offerings to the Buddha and Hindu dieties. Then we proceeded to the temple housing the Reclining Buddha, which spans an impressive 46 meters long - one of the longest golden structures I have ever seen. As we walked through Wat Phra Kaew complex, Siri narrated the story of the colorful pyramid like structures composed of mosaic tiles and porcelain china ranging from teal to magenta and gold. The experience imparts a sense of great spirituality and diversity in the land and its people. The temple structures in the compound illustrated legends with Buddhist and Hindu origins. Siri took us to the Riverside Bangkok restaurant as part of the tour package. The Thai Buffet style restaurant was located in a boat at the pier. It was a satiating experience...Thai food everywhere you go in Thailand is always flavorful! After lunch, we boarded a long boat to tour the canals of Bangkok which included Bang Kachao and the Chao Praya River. It was an interesting experience. The poverty and unsanitary conditions, in which communities lived in around the Canals was humbling and poignant to see. There was a temple along the river in which we fed fish - that area is a sanctuary for fish because it is prohibited to catch fish in front of the temple. Our tour concluded with Siri helping us to arrange our attendance of the Siam Narimit cultural show. It was a spectacular performance showcasing the rich and colorful history and culture of Thailand. It had the most sophisticated stages I have seen - as it contained a flowing body of water that resembled a river and quick changing stages. Siri was so friendly and professional and she and the driver made us feel welcomed and immersed in the history and culture if Thailand! I'm ever so grateful for such a travel experience that was worth my money

BEST tour in Bangkok!!
My wife, sister in law and I have traveled the world and do at least one tour in every city. This was hands down our all time favorite!!! Miss Supatsara Wonghong (Aye) was amazing! We saw every major attraction in the city and along the way were treated to refreshments, offering flowers to give to Buddha and fun street food! Aye felt like a member of our family by the end of the day. She was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and made my family and I feel welcome in this beautiful country. She even took photos of and with us throughout the journey! This is a MUST do tour (which is hard to find with so many options) and Aye is a must have tour guide! ขอบคุณมาก!.

Perfect private day tour for the important sights in Bangkok
The private day tour IS the way to see most the main attractions of Bangkok. The driver and guide we had were excellent. The car was large and comfortable. While we touched on the important historical points, we also discussed contemporary Thai life, issues, politics and got a broad scope of the Thai culture. This was certainly as much fun as seeing the tourist spots. I would certainly recommend this tour to those who want to see the major attractions in a comfortable and unrushed way. Our guide Chutima Nawsoon was wonderful!.

Giamo [Miss Chutima Nawsoon] made all the difference!!!! 100% recommended!!!!!!!
We had the most remarkable private tour with Giamo [Miss Chutima Nawsoon] of MAM Holidays Thailand. Not only everything was perfect, but we felt, in every instance, that Giamo truly cared about us and did her best to make this trip memorable. She took the time to introduce herself and explain every facet of what we would experience. She fully explained Thai history, customs and culture. As well-traveled individuals this definitely was the most eye-opening, adventurous, and stunning journey of our life - something we will remember, speak about and cherish for our remaining years. We were pleasantly surprised by the diversity of our trip, not only did we see the temples, but were then taken to the flower market, the canals, and the markets. Lunch was fine and the driver very nice as well. But the trip was made special by Giamo ... Thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts. We will tell everyone how wonderful you made out tour..

The perfect tour with a fantastic hostess!
We obviously haven’t been on all the tours in Bangkok but I’d say that this was phenomenally well organised and Miss Chutima Nawsoon was a funny and engaging hostess. Who ensured that we all had a great time. The three of us were picked up from our hotel by Miss Nawsoon and the driver for the day at the right time with no issues.Over the course of the day we visited China town, the gold, jade and reclining Bhuddh’s as well as the Palace and the flower market. We were also taken on an exciting and informative boat ride around the canals of Bangkok where we saw Monitor lizards, about 8 feet long things, and feed the catfish outside one of the many temples. We also stopped several other temples throughout the day.We had a great buffet lunch on a boat on the river. Much needed as you burn a lot of energy! Throughout it all Miss Nawsoon kept up a funny and informative discourse on Thailand, Bangkok and what it means to be Buddhist.I have to say that we finished the day exhausted but happy and feel that we could not have chosen a better tour. Thank you Miss Nawsoon you made our trip

Underwhelmed
Unfortunately, my husband and I cut this tour short. Our guide Siri was pleasant but spent too much time on her mobile phone without engaging with us. We did a 45 min boat ride and she did not say a word. We asked many questions but answers were vague or Siri gave the impression that she did not really know the answer. Disappointing and would not recommend..

Our guide [Giamo] was delightful and very knowledgeable. She shared her culture and history with both reverence and glee. She took time to answer every question posed. She explained the subtleties regarding the Thai people and their place in the world. She was wonderful in getting us in and out of the monuments as well as showing us the local fare. Excellent Tour!
My cousin and I flew to Bangkok while we were on vacation in the Philippines for a quick 3 day visit. The first day we went to Chinatown to try the street food and were completely overwhelmed by the crowds, traffic, & not knowing where to go or what stands to try. That night we decided it was best to take a risk and book a private tour to see all the “must see sites” in the city and boy are we glad we did!!! Our tour guide, Siri was absolutely amazing! She arrived at our hotel on time with the private car. The car was clean, air conditioner was on, & she even had cold bottled water for us. During the tours Siri was very knowledgeable about the sites and could answer any questions we had. The Temples we went to were very busy, but she knew exactly where to go & where to take the best pictures. Lunch was absolutely delicious. They had a western buffet and an authentic Thai Buffet. The Thai food was divine. I absolutely loved everything I had to eat. The boat tour on the canal was a lot of fun and I felt like a bonus..

The trip was amazing and we had a fabulous guide Aye Wonghong. She looked after us all day, told us so much information - by the end of the day she was a friend. The trip does so much - all the Buddha's - the Grand Palace - the flower market - boat ride - fab lunch in a great place and it went on and on. We cannot recommend this highly enough. It was our first ever trip to Bangkok and our first day and so glad we chose to do this trip. We started at 9am and were back at the hotel at 3.30pm but it was well worth it. An amazing private trip..

Excellent one-day tour of all of Bangkok's Highlights
With only two days in Thailand, on a recent 18-day/five-country Asia excursion, I needed to make the most of my time. This tour was great; I saw all the major sights in Bangkok in a very efficient manner. Highlights included the Grand Palace, Wat Pho (home of the reclining Buddha), the Golden Buddha, a canal cruise (a chance to see how real Thai people live), Wat Arun, and the flower market. At the buffet lunch, which is included, when I originally chose perhaps not the most adventurous choices, my guide encouraged me to sample some of the other dishes, and I ended up falling in love with a fish soup that she had recommended. I also learned a lot about Thai history (and current events) throughout the day. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe throughout the entire day with both my female guide and male driver (both of whom spoke English). I recommend this tour -- especially if you have limited time in Bangkok or for a first-day introduction to the city even if you are fortunate to have a longer stay than I did..

Experience of a lifetime
Giamo, our guide, was excellent. She was courteous and fun. Her spoken English was okay. I would recommend her to anyone. It was all about seeing the sites and having an enjoyable time at same time. We loved every minute of it. She was even receptive to calls and interpreting with our vendors/ cab drivers, days after the tour

Big Day in Bangkok
This tour weaves all of Bangkok’s best highlights together. The beautiful, ornate temples, a long boat ride, Chinatown, flower market and a wonderful lunch! Our guide, Miss Supatsara Wonghong was very knowledgeable about every detail of the temples, Buddhism, and life in Bangkok. The tour was seamless from beginning to end. She even managed to wrap things up before a downpour of rain. We had a very memorable day, learned a lot and enjoyed our time with such a kind, attentive and generous guide. Thanks for the memories!

A full and fun day!
Our tour guide and driver were wonderful, friendly and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Between the temples, the break on the canals, and the delicious lunch, this helped me feel like I got the "must do sightseeing" out of the way in a fun, enjoyable manner so that I could then focus on finding all the hole in the walls. I learned a lot and always felt comfortable and taken care of..

Time and energy saving!
This tour is like a package for everything if you're looking for a temple tour ini Bangkok. We went to Temple of Golden Buddha, Temple of Reclining Buddha, Temple of Emerald Buddha, Temple of Dawn, and The Grand Palace as well. The guide, Miss Aye, picked me up at the hotel lobby at 9 and we went around by car. It is really convenient so you don't have to worry about how to get to the temples and the price are including the temple entrance fees which about 50-200 Baht per temple. Along the tour, the guide also told a short history of Thailand and the temples. They also provided lunch at the Baan Taithien Café which is very-very nice. The food was delicious and they also served us young coconuts! We went there by a long-tail boat after paying a visit to The Grand Palace, so you can enjoy the view of the Chao Phraya River and the canals! I really reccomend this trips if you're travelling in groups, because it really saves your time and energy..

excellent tour and great guide
The tour was excellent . We got to see 4 temples , the palace, the canal (boat tour) within 8 hours at our own pace . This is a private tour just for our family of 4 . We had a tour guide (Miss Sakorn Donphaisri) and personal driver . Miss Sakorn Donphaisri (Sasha) was very knowledgeable and charming . She made the tour very interesting with all the historical stories related to the places we visited. The tour is worth the money you spend . I highly recommend this tour and Sasha as a guide..

Our tour guide Siri was extremely informative in providing us with history of all the places we visited, including places we drove passed along our journey. It was lovely getting to know Siri throughout the day – we instantly felt as though we were part of her family. Our lunch stop had a great variety of delicious food that would appeal to all ages and ethnicities. We enjoyed the day and saw everything at a leisurely pace; The whole day was so amazing that it’s hard to pinpoint a favourite part. We truly believe it’s all thanks to Siri – her love of wanting to share all the fascinating attractions Bangkok has to offer really shines through and we couldn’t recommend Siri enough as your tour guide to ensure the best customer service experience. We especially loved that she was more than happy to take pictures of us as family – allowing us to all get in the frame without any hassle!.

Absolute Best Way to see Bangkok with Tour Guide Aye
For my first trip to Asia (business trip) I decided to get in early and spend the weekend so that I could get acclimated to the 11 hour time difference (and nearly 24 hours on a plane/in an airport). I decided to book a tour for first thing Saturday (after I arrived late Friday night) and am so glad I was recommended this tour by a coworker. Seeing the various temples and royal palaces was awe inspiring. Hearing the history of Bangkok/Thailand, the 10 kings, the story of Buddha, the significance of the elephant to the Thai people, etc. provided me a great background for better understanding Thailand and it’s history. My guide, Aye, was vert attentive and knowledgeable. She patiently answered my questions and explained in just enough detail that I could follow and understand. It was nice to have a private driver that would drop us off and quickly be there to pick us up as she would wrap up one location and head to another.I was provided water as needed (as it was nearly 95F) and a buffet lunch before being taken on a longboat ride through the canals of Bangkok. Seeing how the poorest of poor live along the canals brought an understanding of just how poor many of the people are. While on the longboat, Aye purchased bread from a monk so that we could feed the fish. She also purchased a small jasmine flowers arrangement for me frome the flower market. All entry fees to the temples and place were paid for, as well as the lunch and driver. This was an absolutely amazing way to see Bangkok. Well worth every penny. And Aye, sharing her knowledge and sweet personality, made it an over the top experience. I’m so glad I chose to spend my first day in Bangkok with Aye on this tour..

This was a great way to visit all the ‘must see’ spots when my time was limited. While the temples were very interesting & beautiful, the cruise down the river in a long boat was the calmer & cooler highlight for me. Tour guide Emy was fun & very knowledgeable. I have to give a shoutout to the driver for calmly navigating his way through the very dense BKK traffic. He was awesome!.

Great tour!
Our guide (Gimao) was fantastic. We would definitely recommend her services for any future Bangkok tours. The day trip was great as Gimao was very good at explaining the historical background for all the sites we visited and her English was very fluent so we had no issues with understanding any of the narrative. We booked this tour during one of the hottest months in Thailand and Gimao took the time to make sure we didn’t get dehydrated and even made recommendations for what to wear/bring (long pants for a specific temple visit) and my husband was able to change into shorts for the rest of the tour. It did help that we booked the hotel pickup option for the tour so my husband was able to quickly run back to our room to get the recommended wardrobe..

Amazing!
We loved it! Plain and simple. In fact, we took two day-tours with Miss Supatsara Wonghong, one full-day Bangkok tour and one full-day Ayuthhia tour the next day, and loved every minute of that experience. We visited all the must-see sites and learned so much about Thai history and culture. Be sure to ask a lot of questions if you enjoy history as much as we do. The guide will provide a lot of insight! Our driver was fantastic and the car was great! Clean, beautiful SUV. The guide took care of us so well, always bought us water, snacks, smoothies! One recommendation is for the foodies (like us!) - skip the buffet and ask to be taken to the street food vendors. We did this on our second day and it was absolutely worth it! The buffet is meant for travelers who are a bit afraid of trying local food, and the food there is quite honestly not good. Definitely not what comes to Thailand for. But the local street food - AMAZING!.

Brilliant Day.
Our guide and driver picked us up our hotel and negotiated the early morning traffic to our first stop, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, we spent about an hour here with all the features and points of interest being explained before being picked up and taken to the second stop, a wander around the flower market, which as a gardener, I found fascinating! We did the Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, Emerald Buddha, and had a brilliant lunch at a corner cafe. After this we walked to the 'canal' for a boat ride. The canal is the river flowing down through Bangkok and was extremely busy with huge barge traversing it and too choppy for my partner!! We walked to the ferry boat instead and crossed to the Temple of the Dawn, the last stop before finding our driver and heading home. A full day with excellent descriptions throughout, loads of time for photos, and rest. A great guide who knew her stuff and was very thoughtful and accommodated our needs!!.

This was a great tour overall for those who have limited time in Bangkok and wanted to see the city’s highlights. This tour covers all the major temples in Bangkok and other attractions. The tour was very organized from beginning to end from the hotel pickup to the hotel drop off. No hassles at all in this tour just follow along and enjoy the tour since everything is already all inclusive. The vehicle was also great, brand new and smells great. Siri was our guide and she was a great tour guide. She’s knowledgeable about the city, friendly, accommodating, and an amazing photographer. She really made sure that we are taken care of by getting us cold bottled water since it’s really hot in Bangkok. She also knows all the great spots for pictures. I highly recommend this city tour and Siri as your guide. As a seasoned world traveler, book with them, you’ll thank me later..

This is a really good tour of you are only in Bangkok for a day or two. Our guide Miss Siri picked us up in time and she was warm and friendly with excellent English. Completely obsessed with taking selfies of herself wherever we went :-) but also offered to take photos of us too. A little more detailed history would have been good but I fortunately had my guide book with me so was able to read up on everything in the taxi on our way to the next site.Lunch was included and was excellent. Fantastic personal guided tour of Bangkok.
My husband and I booked through the Trailfinders website a tour of Bangkok to see the Grand Palace, and Wat Pho to see the enormous 46metre golden reclining Buddha. We learned on completion of booking that this tour would be with "Mam Tours". We were met at our hotel lobby by Miss Chutima Nawsoon (Gimao) who led us out to a large new car which was driven by a driver called Nong. We learned then that we were the only people on the actual tour. What a fantastic day! Aside from the actual sights we saw, Gimao spoke perfect English and gave us valuable information about each of our venues we were visiting. Nong's driving was faultless and she dropped us off and collected us from different locations and took us to the next. The air conditioned car was very welcome at times! Our guide appeared to "go out of her way" to take us to a variety of parts of Bangkok .. a walk through Chinatown, a personal ride on a boat on the Chao Phraya River (passing close to dwellings at the side of the river), a ferry across the actual river etc etc. Our tour included a buffet lunch on a boat moored on the river, and we had frequent opportunities to have a drink of bottled water, and fresh fruit from local vendors. We were dropped off at our hotel 8hrs later having thoroughly enjoyed our tour, both the visual aspect, and our guide's bubbly personality and enthusiasm. Many thanks!.

Very good tour overall.
PROS: I booked through Viator’s website, which was user-friendly. It was easy to book the tour, and I received the guide’s contact information immediately. The tour was a little pricey compared to other private full-day tours. However, it was worth the amount paid being that I found and booked it the night before the tour. My guide, Aye S. of Mam Holidays Thailand, was amazing!!! She did a wonderful job providing information about the sites, helping to take photos, and allowing sufficient time to rest and hydrate. The sites chosen for the tour were well-selected…hitting many of the “must-sees”. Also, most of the souvenir shops that we stopped at had nice, reasonably priced items. CONS: I asked if we could stop by a jewelry store. The guide took me a little out of the way to Gems Gallery, where I purchased a few items. Afterwards, I learned that I had grossly overpaid for the gems purchased. This was disappointing, because the guide portrayed to be knowledgeable enough to recommend a reputable business with fair prices. Overall, I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to a friend..

My first trip to Hongkong with my Mum
Our tour guide was lovely, and knew a lot about all the destinations we visited. We saw a lot more than we expected to on our trip, and stopped at a restaurant for lunch that had nice food. My mum broke her ankle last year so finds steps difficult after a long day, but our guide helped us onto and off the little boats, meaning we could enjoy a trip around the canals! Without her help we probably wouldn’t have even tried. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see a lot of Bangkok history in one day, whilst also going at your own pace. We were tired out on the way back to the hotel, but it was definitely worth it!.

We used different modes of transport to get around which was fun. Pick up and drop off to the hotel was in a very comfortable air conditioned car. Would recommend if you are short of time!.

The Best Way to See Bangkok
The tour was awesome! My guide was very friendly and accommodating. I understood her pretty well. She made sure our entire day was loaded with great experiences. The river boat ride was amazing. Definitely a must do exp. The temples and palaces were amazing. I would advice going to an Ala Carte restaurant over the buffets. The buffets do not do Thai food any justice. Great tour! If time is of the essence, I'd definitely recommend doing a tour

The tour was good, but the heat made...
The tour was good, but the heat made for a long day. We were impressed with the Buddha temples we visited, but that was pretty much the gist of the one day tour. We did walk through the flower market and China town, but again, maybe because of the stifling heat, it was not a memorable experience. The tour guide who took us on the private tour, just my wife and me, was very nice and very accommodating. Unfortunately, he was very difficult to understand because of his heavy accented English. It took us a while to get used to his pronunciation of the letter r as the letter l, so we figured quickly that the word loom was really supposed to be room. But it made listening difficult. We understood and respected the requirement of dressing properly and removing shoes when entering the temples, but by the end of the day we just peered into the last temple from the door in a way I felt like if you've seen one, you've seen them all. Two things about the tour I need to comment on: 1 The tour was too monotonous for an all day event, and 2 the price we paid for the one day tour, even if private, was not worth the value we received, and in retrospect was really excessive compared to two other tours we attended while in Bangkok for the week. So yes, we enjoyed being on the tour, but it could have been shorter and should have cost less than half of what we paid for it

Not as expected
Our guide was lovely and very friendly but unfortunately we could not understand her well. We were collected from our hotel, car service was excellent. We started by driving to Chinatown and the flower market and walked along the main road for about 10-20 minutes. We then visited several temples and the palace. We had a 15 minute boat trip which was disappointing as had expected an hour trip along the canals as specified in the tour description. We were then taken for lunch to a floating restaurant with open mass catering buffet, basic food and drink choices. The tour ended after lunch and we were taken back to our hotel. Overall I expected better for the price paid - a guide with good English, tour as described and not the much shorter version we received, better quality food

Amazing way to see Bangkok if short on time.
Our tour guide Frankie arrived early to help us get off to a great start. He introduced us to the lovely Pat who was our driver for the day. She made driving around Bangkok great fun with her excellent driving, music and lyrical laughter. Frankie had taken note of the weather forecast for the day and discussed a few changes to the order of our itinerary to ensure that we got the best of everything. This made for an even more amazing experience. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! My husband, daughter and I had just 2 whole days in Bangkok and had never experienced Thailand before. We knew there were many, many great sites to see and we had no clue on where any of them were or understanding of Thai. We wanted it to be a fun and informative experience. Our expectations were very highly exceeded. Frankie was a great tour guide with a very good knowledge of all the sites but more than that he was intelligent, informative and great to talk to about all kinds of issues and we learnt far more about Thai culture than we had thought we would. He offered us the choice of traditional Thai food or an International buffet for lunch and we unanimously decided that we would be foolish not to try Thai food under his guidance. We were not disappointed. He took us to a wonderful restaurant (which sadly I have no clue to the location of!) and helped us decide what to have and ordered it all for us. It was totally delicious. The Temples were all amazing and we had an bonus unexpected treat at The Temple of Dawn which was very special to us all. We would not have enjoyed the experience anywhere near so much without Frankie's great guidance as we would have spent ages figuring out how to get to various places instead of which we simply allowed Frankie to do all the hard work for us, whilst giving us fantastic information about the various temples, kings and history. All in all a fabulous day and left us with a very strong desire to return to Thailand to experience more of their great culture, food and beautiful people. Sorry for the long review but it really was a fantastic day

Great option for those that only have a day to spare and want to maximize your time. Our guide, Rose, did a great job hitting the most important landmarks in one day, and allowed us to get a sense of the local atmosphere. She let us set the pace and accommodated special requests. She also modified the itinerary to avoid being outside during the hottest hour of the day. Most importantly, she was very patient when we wanted to spend some extra time shopping. Rose provided just the right amount of information and knew when to just let us roam around without guidance or commentary

Price charged way, way over what site advertises
I thought I had found the perfect solution to my challenge: Limited time in Bangkok? (yes!) Private tour with English speaking guide? (yes!) Price quoted on website reasonable? (yes! not cheap but a reasonable amount more than the half-day tour I would have otherwise considered) So when I decided to book, it was the day before I wanted to have the tour. The 'check availability' feature on their Viator website is not dependable; it showed no availability that weekend but since I was determined to do this, I called the number on the website. I don't know where that call center is but it seems to be a central number for multiple destinations run by this broker, Viator, I asked for the next day, Saturday, full-day private tour citing the product number beneath the phone number and he said good news, we have availability (contrary to the online calendar). So desperate to book something--I had been caught up in business meetings the entire week and only had this one day of free time--I said ok, let's do this. I was SHOCKED to hear he was charging me more than $100 over the advertised price. He quotes $342 USD, which is (I am Canadian) $442 CDN. That is objectively ridiculous. I should have hung up, I know that now. But I accepted it. The next morning, my guide showed up at the hotel a few minutes after 9 AM. She was lovely, and took me to the air-conditioned Toyota van, a Sienna I think but I didn't check, introducing me to the driver she called Mr. Wut, who did not speak one word to me, assuming he did not speak English. At all. The guide was lovely and tried her absolute best to please me, I concede that 100%. My low rating is not a reflection on her but on the organization, Viator Tours.I am not an athlete, far from it. In fact I have wonky knees and cannot walk for long times or distances. So I was challenged to walk, and walk, and walk, in tremendous heat and humidity, as the guide took me to temple after temple and the worst was the Grand Palace where I thought I would faint from heat exhaustion. To her credit, she took me to the Golden Buddha (the first stop) via elevator when I told her my knees were not very dependable, I was so grateful for that as there are a lot of stairs there. She was an expert on Thai Kings and Buddhas and spoke at length about both subjects. But other than that, I found it difficult to ask any questions, her English was limited to kings and Buddha. She was flexible enough--hey I paid enough to have a customized version of this thing--to cut out more temples and more walks. I eliminated a walk in Chinatown--a ride through was fine for me--and a stop at a souvenir shop, so I was dropped back to my hotel at 3 instead of the planned 5 but that was completely my doing as I cut the tours off when I realized how much walking was in store. So long story short: don't accept the inflated price that doesn't match the website advertised price. But at least I saw things in Bangkok I wouldn't have otherwise

Our private full day tour of Bangkok was outstanding! Our guide Rose was fantastic. She was highly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful throughout the day. Rose was always happy to take photos for us and to answer any questions we had throughout the day. She was always getting us cold bottles of water which helps in the humid weather. We also had a fantastic driver who was safe, reliable and a bit of fun as well. The local restaurant Rose took us to for lunch was excellent. We loved seeing the Royal Palace, going on the boat ride and all the various temples! We also ended up back at our hotel a bit earlier which is also fantastic as we can then cool off in the pool! Highly recommended!

Our guide Aey was very polite and informative and the driver very good and safe. We did the tour on a day when it rained in the morning and had to tweak the Chinatown walk we had been so ther was no issue with this. Despite the weather we saw all the sites and Aey took us for an excellent lunch at a local restaurant. An unhurried relaxing way to see all the very busy sites which you can do at your own pace Aey was happy to spend time as we wished. We would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see some very busy sites in a personal manner. One aspect to consider - all the sites are very busy and it can get very hot so be prepared. Aey did provide water and try to keep us out of the heat where possible, but getting back into the air conditioned car at the end of the tour was much appreciated..

The tour itself was fine, although we did skip a few temples, since after you've seen a few, you don't need more in that heat. Our guide was charming and accommodating. However, the guide's English left a lot to be desired, so we didn't understand much of the description of what we were seeing. If you decide to take this tour, emphasize the need for a guide who speaks your language effectively. And if you ask your guide to take you shopping, make sure that he/she doesn't take you to the most expensive place in the city we finally found a place with reasonable prices, on our own. Don't miss the longtail boat ride, though that was the highlight of the day

I have been to Bangkok several times...
I have been to Bangkok several times before and I have previously visited the Grand Palace, the Leaning Buddha Wat Po, and several other attractions, but I have not fully appreciated them until my family took this tour. Our assigned tour guide, Ms. Khun Aey, and her assistant guide, Ms. Nam, made all the difference. Ms. Aey was very a very efficient and thorough guide. She managed to bring us to all the places we were supposed to visit as per the itinerary without making us feel harried or pressured to move. This, despite the fact that we were quite a big group with 2 seniors and two kids and some of the attractions were terribly crowded esp the Grand Palace and Wat Po. Our extended family adored both Ms. Aey and Ms. Nam. Special thanks to Ms. Nam for personally taking care ofand entertainingour Nanay Linda 79 yo who immediately and naturally gravitated towards her. They were inseparable. About the tour... it is a comprehensive tour of the most important attractions in Bangkok. It is a busy but not harried tour. Just right for a day tour. We ended the tour quite early and still with energy left for some shopping in the evening. The only downside I can think of is the huge crowds this time of year or is it now like this year round?

If you ever want to explore Bangkok...
If you ever want to explore Bangkok, I suggest hiring a tour guide. First, you won't get lost and second, you'll appreciate Thailand even more. That was what Miss Supatsara Wonghong Khun Aey showed to us during this lovely tour. I travelled with my wife and my 1-year-old son. She waited for us at the hotel lobby even before the 9am pick-up time. And it was a memorable and unforgettable day. Granted, Aey's English was not perfect but we communicated well and she was lovely and helpful. Her knowledge of Thailand, especially relating to Buddhism and the Kings was superb. We learned a lot for every stops that we made. It was unfortunate that due to the Royal ceremony, we weren't able to enter the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple. The Chao Phraya river was also closed temporarily for the ceremony rehearsal, but Aey knows her way. We circled around and even rode a tuk-tuk, on top of the boat ride. For the whole day, we visited the Wat Traimit Golden Buddha, Wat Pho Reclining Buddha, Wat Arun Temple of Dawn, Wat Rakhang Temple of the Bells, Wat Bencha Marble Temple and few other temples that I simply cannot pronounce like Aey did. We stopped for lunch at a halal restaurant on the first floor of Wang Lang Pier/Market. The view was excellent, overseeing the Chao Phraya river. There is also a prayer room there. Aey did her best to accommodate our needs, what more when you were carrying a 1-year-old child. So all in all, it was truly a memorable experience. The price may be a tad expensive but I guess it was worth all the money. So, thank you from the bottom of our heart. We really did enjoyed the tour

My teenage daughter and I really enjoyed this all-day private city tour. Our guide collected us from our hotel on time, was lovely and really looked after us all day. We saw all of the sites on the itinerary and never felt rushed for time. The only thing that disappointed us was being dropped off at a 'western' style buffet restaurant for lunch. We would have much preferred a more authentic Thai restaurant that even our guide would have been happy to eat at she disappeared while we had lunch, then came to collect us an hour later. I would recommend the tour, but would not eat at the lunch venue again

Excellent tour and thanks to our guide Aye and driver. However, I would recommend to read a bit about the Grand Palace first if you can. There is sooooo much there, that the guide cannot cover it all is the time available, so a bit of pre-knowledge will add to the enjoyment. Its also mega busy at the Emerald Buddha as it looks like so tours only look at that. The rest of the complex is less busy. This tour was pretty good. The Grand Palace was beautiful, as was Wat Pho. Wat Arun was under construction while we were there but I still enjoyed the visit. The first part of the tour was pretty fast paced, and I wish we could have spent more time looking around or at least walking through slower, but we did have a lot to see in a short amount of time. Our tour guide made sure we had water since the weather was so hot. The cruise up the river to the restaurant was nice and relaxing after all the walking in the morning. The buffet lunch was really good too, and our tour guide made sure to recommend the best foods. The trip to Chinatown was also nice. There were so many shops and not enough time, so the tour guide helped us find anything specific we were interested in. That was a relief. Overall, the tour was good. I would have liked to have learned more about the buildings, history, and other information at each place though, but we walked through too quickly. This was my first time doing a private tour, and it was nice, but I think I enjoy group tours more

Plus more... The ONLY Thing that I would have changed is, I wish they would have taken us to a more local true Thailand restaurants.. They took us to a restaurant that has been americanized. It was very clean and nice but it was nothing but tourist there

The trip was really well planned and full! We went to most of the major attractions, just missing out Chinatown due to time constraints which was disappointing but did not spoil the enjoyment of the trip as a whole. Grand Palace was beautiful but incredibly crowded, the other places where the Buddhas were weren't as bad so you could spend a bit longer admiring them. The lunch was lovely and the rest was welcomed! The boat trip was again a lovely experience. All in all - a great trip that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The only additional advice from me is make sure you wear something so that all shoulders and ankles are covered they're really strict on this, take your passport as it's needed to check your I'd and wear comfy shoes!

This was an amazing way of starting...
This was an amazing way of starting our time in Bangkok. Our tour guide was excellent. She was knowledgeable and friendly. She answered questions, took time with us, took pictures for us and took us all over the place. You're going to a lot of religious/spiritual temples. Please be appropriate in your dress. no shorts or flip flops. Women long sleeves are required or they won't let you in. Be prepared to take your shoes off at every temple. Thus. easy in and out shoes will make your life easier. I highly recommend starting your tours of Bangkok with this one. You'll get immersed into the culture quickly. With this tour you'll see all the primary temples in Bangkok. There is no need to buy another temple tour because this one is amazing and gets you to all the key temples

I would love to say that this tour...
I would love to say that this tour was everything I was expecting, but it wasn't! The sites were amazing and the tour guide was hilarious and knowledgeable, however, he rushed us the whole time which made it less enjoyable. I decided on a private tour rather than a group tour so that we could see things at our own pace and not be rushed....too bad that was not the case. Being my first time in Bangkok, I wanted to photograph and enjoy my time with friends. The Grand Palace was closed and the tour guide made sure to take us there to show us the sign that it was closed and let us know that there would be no refund. The food at lunch was mediocre at best! We were dropped off at our hotel at 3pm. After lunch we did not see any sites other than being shown the outside of the grand palace. We did not got get to see Wat Phra Kaew, nor walk through Chinatown we were driven through Chinatown and told this is it

We have Viator before and always...
We have Viator before and always found them very good. Unfortunately on this occasion we were very disappointed. This was mainly down to the tour guide, who admitted that he had only lived in Bangkok for 3 months. His knowledge was very limited and on a few occasions he was actually reading from a book to tell us about some of the places. We were supposed to be going to the flower market, it was simply pointed out to us as we drove past it. Lunch was poor, it was in a big restaurant very busy with many other tourists, not local like the tour suggests. All in all very disappointing

The tour was very enjoyable with a very professional guide. She was good at explaining the facts. Her English was good, but was not fluent which made answering specific questions more complicated. It was all made up by the fact that was very well prepared and easily dealed with unforeseen circumstances and she contributed to a very agreeable exploration of some of Bangkok's heritage

The guide and driver picked me up...
The guide and driver picked me up from the hotel on time. It went downhill from there pretty quickly. The English speaking guide only spoke about 4 or 5 words of English. He did not understand any of my questions and I certainly did not understand what he was trying to say. He was also unfamiliar with most of the locations - stopping to ask multiple people which way to go, and seemed to be confused between entrance and exist. I had to direct him to follow the signs. He kept asking random people how to get from the Emerald Temple to the Golden Palace, and annoyingly, took pictures of himself at various sites. We stopped to pick up lunch from a solitary street side vendor and then walked to an empty karaoke place to sit and eat lunch. The guide then proceeded to sing karaoke songs. After three or four songs, I had enough and asked to leave. Only after we were ready to leave, did the guide call for the driver to meet us. Unfortunately with the traffic, we had to wait nearly 50 mins before we could get in the car and drive to the ferry. The guide did not seem willing to go on the boat ride that was part of the tour saying it would take too long. I had to call the tour office to make it happen. With all of the other delays, we never made it to the reclining Buddha. On the way back, again, we had to wait for the car to show up due to the traffic. The guide never thought about calling the driver ahead of time so we could save time and not spend it waiting around. The day was not enjoyable, and in fact, was extremely frustrating at times. I would not recommend this tour

This tour covered all important...
This tour covered all important tourist attractions of Bangkok. Tourist Guide Sophie was at the hotel promptly and did everything she could to make us comfortable through out the tour. We had difficult catching the vehicle after China town tour but Sophie ensured alternate arrangements were made and our day wasnt spoilt. Lunch served was great. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see highlights of Bangkok and has only 1 day to spare

This tour is a total waste of money...
This tour is a total waste of money. Our guide spent the whole time taking pictures of us to prove he had gone to places. We traveled on his agenda. It was so obvious that he took us to places where he would get a payback. Even on the longboat we bought a beer and were than told to give it to the driver of the boat as the driver was the sellers wife. Our guide thought it was so funny. The restaurant we went to was disgusting and again it was obvious he was getting something by bringing us there. We WAITED AND WAITED for the drivers or boats because again he wanted his friends. One wait seemed about an hour. The visit to the flower market wasn't on the street but a wholesale place where he took us to AGAIN a friend convinced us to buy 2 groupings of orchids for the emerald buddha which you guessed it stayed in his friends trunk instead of going to the alter. Our visit to China town was a drive by - we did not leave the car at all. We were in Grand Palace possibly for 20 minutes. I booked this trip because it covered the Flower market, Chinatown and the Grand Palace but we spent most of our trip waiting for transport and it was not that busy. We took several tours this vacation and this one was the most expensive and totally a disappointment. All I can say is run the other way

Our tour guide, Sofie, was fantastic! She consistently provided information about the history of each of the areas that we visited and independently gave us time to explore the areas. What a wonderful city and the Thai people are very gracious!
